I was asked if a why a blog created so much traffic with all the articles in it taken from the internet since duplicate content is useless for a website.

I told him that all blogs do not use copied articles or all copied content. Most blogs use articles of there own. For a blog to be successful, it needs to have unique content. This content has to be new to the search engines. Search engines know when there is content that is not used in other websites. If your site is the first to have that content then it is okay because it is said that search engines only index the first page they find the content on and if you add content every day, your site will be indexed every day.Blogs are sometimes more popular then regular websites because of the blog and ping capabilities.

I was also asked how they gain page rank or anything since the blog is changed every day and there are no tags.

 I assured him that he was wrong. Blogs can have tags if you use the plug-in that is specialized for this. Blogs change all the time. This actually helps for search engines since they are changed every day. They will also be spidered very often.

I was not going to write about this but then I saw in my stats that someone found my site for the phrase, ” tips on using SEO elite “, so I decided to write a nice little blurb about using this amazing tool. I don’t even use the entire thing all the time and I still think it is amazing.

Again you can create another link page automatically. After a month you go back and see which ones are working and which ones are a waste.

You see all the links poiting to your competition and you see all the links pointing to the links poiting to the competition. With this info, you can beat your rival easily as long as you get links to there sites.

Having A hard Time Finding “Quality” Links

Many people in the interernet busines category have the problem of having to get traffic to there site. Many people will resort to all sorts of different scams and schemes to try and get you to buy there product or service. With many SEO companies you can have twenty different methods being offered to you. So what are you going to do? How are you going to face the problem of SEO for your site? What kind of methods are you going to use?

A friend of mine was having trouble with the above questions. He asked me to shed some light on the situation he was in. He had been getting links to his site for about a year and he has been tring all different methods. He has good ranking in search engines but he wants to make sure his site stayed were it was on the search page.

He had his objections about paying for text links. He said that he did not trust many of the brokers out there that told of increases in ranking for a price. Sometimes this price can reach upward of $200-300 for a little text link ad.

I asked other for there opinion on the topic because it was hard for me to answer him in a way so that he can actually use my advise.  I was told that he should just use very good content. If your site is knowledgable, people will link to it as a way of informing there own visitors. This is not a problem for him because his site is very high quality and has a lot of info about his niche.

I told him a little bit of my experience with SEO:

Blogging, article writing, forum posting, and press releases.

Thats what I do. Works well over time.

You write a nice article with good length, key words, etc… and send it to an article directory. –pay $2 get it distributed with isnare or send it for free to a good article site like goarticles or ezine. Write well and they make you an expert

Don’t spam forums but add a relavent link to your signature. If it makes sense to be there. No reason to have a link to poker in this forum right? I always try to be as helpful as I can and learn on the way.

Im still learning how to use press releases and to optimize there potential. It is different from writing articles because it is more news oriented so it is a little harder. Use Pr web to distribute it.

A blog in itself can be making thousands on adspace over time, not to mention the links that it can generate for your website. Good content with key words and good anchor text should do the trick.

It sounds like a lot of work but over time you can see that it get easier. Perhaps you can devise a system to do all of these things easier
